Have you ever thought about joining the PTSO board?
You are in luck!! The PTSO is looking for a treasurer.
If you are interested please contact Valerie Watts at firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more details.
The CSA PTSO welcomes you to the 2017-2018 school year at Chaparral Star Academy.
We are a group of Parents, Teachers and Students who come together to support the school by organizing social events and fundraisers that benefit the teachers, staff members and students.
All teachers, parents, and guardians of students at CSA are automatically members of our PTSO. If you would also like to donate to the PTSO, we would be honored to use your money to help our classroom teachers and our students have an outstanding year!
Below is a brief description of what we have planned. For more detail information check out the Calendar page.
Join in the FUN. Every Friday is Spirit Day!!
Join in on the FUN by wearing your CSA Shark Shirt, shirt of your choice with any shark, school colors (blue & white) or if you are brave a shark costume. Just make sure that awesome costume meets school guidelines.
PTSO Meetings are on Campus and will be held at 11:50 a.m in Manual Rivera’s classroom (meeting room is subject to change). A reminder email on CSA News will be provided prior to each meeting with all the details of the meeting. You can also check out ptso.chaparralstaracademy.com/calendar.
Teacher Luncheons are at the end of every grading period. We love to treat our teachers to a lunch provided by the Parents & Students at Chaparral. Thank you Felicia Herold and Lilian Sanford for leading the Teacher Luncheons! Keep your eyes out on CSA News and the website for a Sign-up Genius Link. The link will provide opportunities for you to provide homemade goodies for our staff or a monetary donation.
Winter Wonderland is a time before December’s Holiday break for everyone to gather in the hallway, and MPR room. Students can have a booth to sell homemade goods or products like Henna Art or Jewelry which is just a few examples. Students can use the booths to raise money for a school event, fieldtrip or personal goal. If your student has an amazing talent and would like to practice in front of an audience, they are welcome to do so during Winter Wonderland.
Book Fair is a great time when students, parents and teachers can buy Scholastic Books at a great price. The first book fair needs to be successful so we can host our FAVORITE Scholastic Book Fair in April…the BOGO BOOK FAIR. Thank you Lorna Lawrence for leading the Scholastic Book Fairs this year.
Science and Art Fair is a new addition this year. Teachers and volunteers will be working together to implement our first Science and Art Fair.
Events to be added: Dodgeball Smackdown, Gaming Night, Talent Show night & Movie night.
